How to Make Rose Petal Jam

Prepare the Petals:

Gently rinse 2 cups of fresh, organic rose petals and pat dry. Remove the white base from each petal to prevent bitterness.

Soften the Roses:

In a saucepan, combine the rose petals with ½ cup of water. Simmer over low heat for 10–15 minutes, until the petals soften and release their color and aroma.

Sweeten and Simmer:

Add 1 cup organic cane sugar and 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Simmer gently for 15–20 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency.

Cool and Store:

Remove from heat and let cool. The jam will thicken further as it sets. Transfer to a clean glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 weeks.

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

Gently rinse the rose petals and pat them dry. Remove the white base from each petal, as it can taste bitter.

In a saucepan, combine the rose petals and water. Simmer over low heat for 10–15 minutes, until the petals soften and release their color and aroma.

Add the sugar and lemon juice, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.

Increase heat slightly and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency.

Remove from heat and allow to cool. The jam will thicken further as it sets.

Transfer to a clean glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 weeks.
