Healing Garlic Soup

Garlic has long been revered as a natural healer, earning its place in kitchens and medicine cabinets alike for thousands of years. In this healing garlic soup, the star ingredient does much more than just add flavor. Garlic is also a rich source of antioxidants, which help protect your body from harmful free radicals. Garlic promotes overall health so it’s no wonder that garlic has been used for centuries to promote health.

Aside from its medicinal benefits, garlic soup is deeply nourishing, providing warmth and comfort. The soup acts as a natural remedy to support your body’s defenses while delivering a rich, savory taste. This simple yet effective recipe will not only nourish your body but also harness the healing powers of garlic to boost your overall wellness.

To start this recipe, chop one whole onion, peel 20 cloves of garlic and mince 1 tablespoon fresh ginger. Add onion to a pot and let it cook on medium until onions are translucent.

Add garlic and ginger and cook on medium heat for about 5-10 minutes. Add veggie broth and herbs and let simmer for about 20 minutes.

Use an immersion blender, or a regular blender to blend everything together until it’s a puree.

Add to a bowl and serve! 

This is super warming and feels very healing, This soup was super nourishing and was exactly what my body needed to boost my immune system.

Recipe: Healing Garlic Soup

Ingredients: 

  • 1 Whole yellow onion 
  • 20-30 Cloves garlic 
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 3-4 Sprigs of thyme 
  • 3-4 Sprigs rosemary 
  • 3 Cups veggie broth 

Instructions: 

  • Sauté onions on medium heat until translucent 
  • Add garlic and ginger and sauté for about 5-10 minutes until fragrant 
  • Add herbs and veggie broth
  • Allow to simmer on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes 
  • Use an immersion blender or add to a countertop blender to puree
  • Add to a bowl and serve 
  • Enjoy!
