Our Cocoa Energy Formula
This is a drink for your enjoyment, so although it is healthy and packed with herbs, we do sweeten it with cocoa, dates and coconut sugar as the last 3 ingredients. You probably know this, but an ingredient label is listed in the order of the most quantity to the least by weight, so we didn’t put a lot of sweet in there. This makes a savory, kind of herby taste that has a nice mild sweetness to it.
The original idea was to put the bare minimum of sweetness, so it could be sweetened to taste with you adding your own sweetener of choice, if you wanted it more sweet, but most people that have taste-tested it really loved the taste just the way it was. We are excited about this.
The ingredients list of our Cocoa Energy Formula is: Korean Ginseng, Cordyceps, Maca, Cocoa, dates and coconut sugar.
The serving size is one tablespoon that you can mix into whatever you like. There are 28 servings total.
It is certified organic and manufactured by the people we trust to make our herbal supplements, so they are made in a GMP certified facility and are 3rd party tested.
A GMP facility, or Good Manufacturing Practice facility, means that it adheres to strict regulatory-enforced guidelines to ensure that products and food are consistently produced, controlled and safe for human use.
GMP doesn’t only rely on testing the final product, but focuses on preventing errors and contamination during the whole manufacturing process. Each step from raw materials to final packaging is standardized and monitored and staffed with personnel fully trained and knowledgeable. GMP emphasizes education which can include advanced science degrees for management positions and specific training and experience for each assigned function or any combination of education necessary for the task.

In looking over what it would be important to tell you about these ingredients, I realized just how wonderful this formula is. Usually an energy drink overloads you with sugar that jacks your activity, but may not be good for you at all. But it gives you energy. Or it overworks some mechanism that revs things up, like the poor adrenals. But this formula actually just increases your vitality.
Korean Ginseng - The most popular adaptogen. It stops the body's uncomfortable metabolic over-reactions to things. It improves a man's ability to get and maintain an erection and can improve sex drive in both women and men. It supports endurance, helps keep normal healthy sugar balance, improves the mood, helps with recovering and maintaining a nice figure, makes the body get and stay relaxed and can help with attention, concentration and memory. It may reduce hair loss, it strengthens the immune system and protects biologically from the winter season and world situations, reduces overgrowth of biological intruders especially in the upper respiratory tract, improves digestion, is antioxidant rich, which keeps your tissues young and resilient, and helps heal any damage.
Cordyceps - An adaptogen. It enhances overall health, kidney and liver function, sexual function, athletic performance, cognitive abilities, immune system function, and carbohydrate metabolism. Cordyceps helps normalize sleep patterns and keeps you young. It also thins the blood by slowing down clotting factors which increases circulation and invigorates and helps with strength and fatigue.
Maca - Historically, it has been used for stamina and energy. Maca helps regulate cortisol and other hormones, so it can help both sexes balance their hormones which goes a long way to handling practically whatever ails you, including the notoriously difficult menstrual and menopause symptoms in women and prostate symptoms in men.
Cocoa - It comes from cacao and retains at least some degree of its properties, but tastes much, much better. Cacao provides a smooth, sustained energy boost through theobromine (a mild stimulant) rather than the intense spikes and jitters of caffeine. Furthermore, it enhances mood by promoting the release of neurotransmitters like serotonin and endorphins, supporting feelings of happiness and reducing mental fatigue.
All three herbs are adaptogens and they are combined with cocoa which has remnants of the partially adaptogenic cacao. So they actually have the ability to adjust and hence work together to increase health and function.
Besides having energy, you also get mental clarity, increased circulation, stronger immune system, better digestion and an enhanced mood, among other things. That’s a bargain energy drink if you ask me!
