Make Healthier Treats at Home

Making sweet treats at home is an easy way to enjoy something you love while having more control over the ingredients you use. In this recipe, ripe bananas provide natural sweetness and moisture, while maple syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness. Herbal Roots Cocoa Blend brings rich cocoa flavor to create a simple homemade treat you can enjoy any time of day.

Choose Your Herbal Roots Cocoa Blend

One of the best things about this recipe is that you can choose between two Herbal Roots cocoa blends depending on what you're looking for.

The Digestive Cocoa Blend combines cacao with ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom—herbs traditionally used to support digestion—while adding warm, comforting notes.

The Energy Cocoa Blend combines cacao with cordyceps, ginseng, and maca—ingredients traditionally used to support focus, stamina, and steady energy.

Both blends offer a delicious way to enjoy cocoa with added purpose, whether blended into smoothies, stirred into drinks, or baked into your favorite recipes.

Tips for Soft, Moist Chocolate Banana Muffins

For the best flavor and texture, use ripe bananas. The riper they are, the more natural sweetness they'll add to the muffins.

When combining the wet and dry ingredients, mix only until everything comes together. Overmixing can affect the final texture of the muffins.

Save a few of the dark chocolate chips to sprinkle over the batter before baking for extra chocolate in every bite.
